Here at Ohio Valley Photo, our motto is "Your Children, Your Athletes, Your Memories". Let us take a moment to explain that motto.

There is a special kind of pride and joy in the air at youth sporting events, both team and individual.

I have felt this pride and joy watching my children, as well as my nieces and nephews, compete. I have seen this pride and joy on the faces of mothers and fathers, aunts and uncles, grandparents and family friends. You can see it in the stands during a game. You can see in the hugs after a thrilling victory or a heartbreaking defeat.

There is a special bond between teammates and coaches, coaches and parents as well as teammates and families. Many people not involved in youth and scholastic sports dismiss this or believe that sports are not important in the life of a child or teen.

Here at Ohio Valley Photo, we feel differently. Children attend school to learn and to prepare themselves for life as adults in the "real world". There are many very important life lessons that are learned in the locker-room and on the field of play - not in the classroom.

Many parents bring cameras to games to take photos of their child competing. Many parents spend countless hours creating scrapbooks capturing and preserving memories of their child's sports career.
